While looking through stickers to add to my hydroflask, I came across one that said, “Have Courage and Be Kind.“ I started thinking in the world today those two actions are not ones that are independent of each other. When logging into social media people are readily spreading their opinions that are so often heavily laced with hatred, discrimination, superiority, and privilege. I rarely see a post that is encouraging, empathetic, or uplifting.

Into today’s society it requires courage in order to be kind. It requires courage to extend a hand to those society attempts to suppress.

I would like to take the opportunity to challenge you to be courageously kind to your fellow man. You have the power to do so, and the world needs it.
